    CZ P-07

    My options:

    1. CGW CZ P-07 with Pro-Package
    2. CZ 2014 P-07

To my understanding, the Omega trigger system is pretty good out of the box. What I probably won't like about it is the DA stacking towards the end. I'm assuming this happens in half-cock as well.

CGW seems to address these issues. I guess is it worth the extra $225 or so?

The first option is not a 2014?

        Option 1 is a 2014 P-07 assuming that's what CGW sells

If you're debating "$225 extra or so" as an extra cost - look at what they charge for you to send in your gun to have it worked on for what you'll be getting with the $225:

Which, even in hindsight, I may still do with my standard out-of-the-box P07 no matter the higher cost.

Doh, thought I had made up my mind. That said part of my logic involved the P-07 being a good value out of the box. Not that the CGW isn't, just brings the price up to a point where it might compete more with other options I am considering.

Answer depends totally on how much disposable $$ you have.

If it helps this was rapid fire (double taps) 50 rounds at 15 yards with a cgw p01. First shot of each string was da.

The difference is my propackage cz p01s outshoot my friends' 2k+ guns. Before the cgw p01 I was striker fire only. It really is that good

I personally upgraded my CZ P-07 and after upgrading all the parts, it is pretty darn close to the $1200 Sphinx SDP Compact in trigger quality. Before, there was a little take up, but after changing out the FPB spring and the firing pin along with the SRT and hammer kit, it took away all the slack.

Add in whatever a FFL would charge to take the transfer from CGW. The two closest FFL's to me range from $85-100 for a SSE transfer. You can always send the p-07 to them I suppose, but then you would have to wait and deal with shipping it which you may or not want to do.

I got my 2014 for 500+tax/dros and am happy with it. It is accurate. Would rather put 3 or 400 that this costs towards another gun. Ymmv.

Good points - AND can you actually get it from CGW in time to SSE before the end of the year, pendign they aren't already swamped with orders? May have to order the standard P07, then have them work on it later if you wish.
