Springfield RO 9mm Magazine Question

ok, so i just bought a Springfield RO 9mm 1911. I also got the free mags deal they have going on.

The 2 mags that came with the gun don't look anything like the free mags that i got. Haven't had a chance to take both sets of mags to the range to function test, but with some snap caps both mags seem to hand cycle fine.

Both the body of the mags look different as well as the followers. The ones that came with the gun i believe are metalform, the free mag promo mags i believe are checkmate. I've attached a few pics. Anybody also get different mags or have experience with both of these mags?

They are two different designs.
The one with the dimple on the front keeps the round to the rear of the magazine. This magazine was designed with input from Rob Lathum.
The other one keeps the round to the front of the magazine, the typical design.
Remember that the magazines are actually 38 super mags that have been modified for the shorter 9mm round.
My preference is for the dimpled design.
