    Good job!

Not much right away, maybe a sight upgrade from the plastic oem sight. I personally like FO front, and blacked out rears.

Just a good deal on ammo.

    Have fun!

Upgrade the magazines from empty to full, get a nice leather holster, and go hit the range. Done.

Go shoot it first and decide from there...
        Congrats

Glocks are great right out of the box, many don't care for the standard factory sights (myself included),
additionally I've added grip tape and extended slide stops to all my Glocks.

Most "upgrades" will just be personal preferences.

@5ZS: NICE! Are the sights easy to instal or should I get someone to help me out?

@AreWeFree: Epic response! I will do that shortly!!!

Also, what rounds should I stay away from? Or can they pretty much bang everything out?

Small rail light to keep the boogy men away.

My Gen3 G21SF has eaten everything I've fed it gluttonously, but... that's characteristic of Glocks in general.

Have a place install the sights for you since they'll use a sight pusher so it doesn't mar your slide or new sights. Some gun shops will install for free when you buy sights from them, only takes a few minutes.

You can shoot just about any brand or load (except pure lead, Glock doesn't recommend this with their polygonal barrel), but make sure to test any ammo thoroughly to ensure it feeds correctly before using that firearm for home defense. Even if they're expensive hollow points costing $1 per round, make sure you shoot at least a few boxes (40) to check proper function with your gun and magazines.

Those stock sights are horrendous- I found the front sight way too wide compared to the rear notch and was difficult to see the target.

Almost any aftermarket sights would be better, but have personally been looking into the TruGlo TFO and will post results if I get them myself.

Other than that, the grip can become somewhat slippery if you're shooting in a warm climate so some sort of grip tape may help.

Maybe put a 10mm barrel in it...

extra mags, lots of ammo (i like freedom munitions for well priced bulk ammo) and a nice holster

shoot it stock before doing anything, i kinda like the stock sights on a defense glock and probably wouldnt change them out

after you shoot it a lot you will either be very used to the trigger and love it, or want it lighter which there are some good options for out there
