    CZ PRO TEK II BLACK

anyone has CZ PRO TEK II BLACK? if you do have one, did you buy one from CZ Custom via SSE or you sent your own CA registered for custom work?

Love the way this pistol looks but dont think I will be able to obtain one if its via SSE...all SSE slots are taken

Yikes, $1550 for a custom pistol. Looks really good though.

I like the duotone even better!

But, yeah....wow...must be a beautifully, sweet shooter!

Just wondering, if you want that but don't want to give up a spot, what are the SSE guns you are holding?

I probably doesn't matter SSE slots. CZC takes forever to get them built. They are doing custom work on my SP-01 Tactical and it will take them 8 weeks.

Just emailed czc recently to ask how much it would cost to convert a p01 to. Protek II. Waiting for Stuart to come back to me with the quote.

He also mentioned they would have some Protek II's avaible in 2-3 weeks since they just built a batch. He said he had some unspoken for still ... Both the black and bronze model.

I was thinking about it but no more SSE spots left which is why I'm gonna send them a p01 next year.

Quite honestly, I am going to build my own. I can probably do it all for about $400 by purchasing all the parts.

When i asked CZC about sending in a stock CZ PCR to have the Protek work done i was told it would be to expensive and it was alluded to, that it was not a service they really offered.

The work that really stick out on the Protek is the dehorning (melting) of the frame, the milling of the top of the slide and the reworking of the controls. Otherwise as DB stated you can pretty much make one you self.

I will likely send my PCR to CGW or do some work on it myself. I could not justify the cost of the Protek for a compact i didnt need. I ended up getting a 75 Shadow instead. I agree with you guys though, the Protek did make me want to buy it for a while.
