    XDS Trigger Reset Issue

Just picked up a XDS 3.3" in 9mm. Took it to the range for the first time yesterday and noticed a problem.

Load a magazine, rack the slide, pull the trigger, gun goes bang, pull the trigger, gun goes bang. This repeats until the magazine is empty. Slide locks back. So far so good.

Insert new mag, release slide. PROBLEM. Trigger didn't reset. This happened on every time I inserted a new mag.

Now the problem is easily fixed by simply pulling the slide back even halfway. The trigger resets and I can continue firing. Any ideas? I did a search here and on google and didn't find anything to this exact problem. Anyone else run into this?

My idea would be call Springfield. You do have a lifetime warranty.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be calling Springfield tomorrow if I can't find someone else that's had the same problem.

I haven't had that problem with my 3.3 9mm. I have had zero problems with 600 rounds. Hope you get it fixed soon, great gun!

I've put 350 rounds through mine this week (picked it up last Monday.)
                No trigger reset problems.
It's still a bit tight and doesn't completely return to battery maybe once every 30-40 rounds.
I've also experienced about a dozen light primer strikes.
I figure if 3-500 more rounds go by and it doesn't right itself I'll give SA a call.

I put about 200 rounds through my xds 9 4.0 without any issues. Yours is post recall?

Over 5k in my 45acp 3.3 and 8k in my 9mm 3.3 and zero problems. What is the born date?

my 2-month-old xds9 3.3 has only 300 rounds thru her, but they've been hiccup free. sorry to hear about your troubles. so even though the slide is locked back on the last round, inserting a new mag and releasing the slide, the trigger hasn't reset?? that is definitely service worthy. i concur with everyone else that said give springfield a call.

Going to the range to put another few mags through it to see if the problem is still there. Gave it a good clean and lube this morning. I'll report back tomorrow.

This should be post recall, but I am obviously double checking that as well.

Thousands through mine with zero issues. Check and make sure the slide is going 100% into battery when you're releasing the slide on that first new round

No issues in mine. Literally dozens of rounds thru.
