    Hk USP9c vs USP45c?

Which one should I get guys, the USP 9c or USP 45c? The obvious answer to me would be the 9mm, since its SUPPOSE to get five extra rounds... but being limited to 10 rounder for the 9mm and 8 rounds for the 45. hmm kinda has me thinking.

I will be getting a 40-9 conversion barrel for my XD so I have 9mm and 40. covered not sure if I want to add another caliber into the mix. But I do need another gun as I only have one handgun right now.

Between the two choices, I'd go with the USP 9C.

In .45 acp, I prefer the full size USP because the compact felt like it had more recoil than my Glock 30SF.

Go with the 9 compact. Two extra rounds and cheaper to shoot. For 45 I would go full size.

I agree w above comments. I've had USP9c for long time and love it. When get back to states was planning on getting a USP 45, was going back and forth on compact or full size but for .45 the USP full size just looks like what I'm gonna go with, but I already have a Glock 30sf to cover my non full size .45. Actually I don't think you could go wrong w either as I'm sure USP .45c is a great gun too. There, now I didn't help you decide at all, guess my point is I'd be happy w both, whatever feels best to you cause full size does have very large grip. I actually love the feel of my various 1911s for full size .45 and do remember many years ago holding a full size USP 45 and thinking that the grip was large and a bit blocky and 1911 just felt more natural in my hand, but still plan on getting full size when back in states right after I dros my Sig X5 that's waiting for me and wait 30 days. Why? Because this is an addiction!
USP9c would be my shtf gun, as reliable as anything ever shot and perfect size, not too big, not too small.

Great options. Can't go wrong with either of them. I am a 9mm guy so my vote goes to USPc 9mm. Also, mags for the USPc 9 are cheap. $20 a pop from CDNN Sport.

At this time, I have a USPc 9mm (DA/SA) and an HK 45C (also DA/SA)---like 'em both---nether has failed to function at any time…
Regarding the USPc in 45, I've fired one and also liked it a bunch---then came a deal on the 45C...

I would go for the USP9c. I held both and the 9mm felt perfect, but the 45 had a weird hump at the bottom that didn't feel right.

Also, HK mags tend to pretty expensive. But there are a lot of law enforcement surplus ones available for a reasonable price with the USP9c. With the .45, mags are close to $60 for a new one.

Someone was selling 2 new usp9c/p2000 magazines for $30 in the marketplace yesterday. Half the price of a new .45 mag isn't so bad.

I have the .45c and it is probably my favorite gun but based on what you said about having having other 9/40's I would say go with the 9c.

Thanks everyone, looks like I will be going with the USP9c. I wasn't trying to start a 9mm vs 45. debate and im glad it didn't turn out that way- I was just curious how these two models compared to each other.

My deciding factors were that Iv'e shot the 9mm version before and loved it, so if the 45. version feels different in the grip I might not like that. Also, the mags seems a lot cheaper than the 45. version and also cheaper to practice and holds two more rounds.

In the future if I wanted a 45. I might try a 1911 or other full sized gun.

OP, see if you can rent the USP 45. I bought one at my lgs as it was an LE trade in. The trigger is pretty broken in and the gun feels fine in hand. I couldn't imagine shooting a 45 in a compact DA/SA gun (in a polymer gun anyway).

I will say my HK USP45c shoots surprisingly soft. It is EXTREMELY accurate. I was shooting one of those orange Do-All balls at 75 yards hitting it at least 3 out of 8 shots sometimes as much as 5/8. I never bought the full size USP because the Compact out preformed my abilities in a smaller package.

I own and have carried both. Personally, I prefer the USPc in 9mm for overall size and the way it fits MY hand. Nothing wrong with the USPc in 45 either, but for me, the 9mm is a little easier to be accurate with, conceal carry all day, and honestly tends to be my favorite handgun I own. YMMV.
