I just got back from the range today

"Yea" my double taps are getting tighter as are my single patterns. This is at 7 yards and I guess the every other week 200 to 300 rounds is beginning to work on my motor skills with my pistols.

You know, these have to be the nicest pair of 1911's that I have seen on this forum. I can't stop drooling each time I look at them.

When practicing double taps, I try to keep the two holes in separate distances...almost 5-9 inches apart. Two separate holes are better than two grouped holes.

I guess I'll have to take pictures of my Wilson combo to compete with your Nighthawk combo. I have a CQB with rail and I'm halfway through the 10 days for my Elite Pro. Are you guys practicing actual double taps or a controlled pair?

They are both nice pistols ,I'm not sure which I like better, I know I shot the Bobtail alot more then the 5" today and enjoyed it but perhaps that is because I hadn't shot it yet. I know I will carry the Bobtail with my CCW out of state.

You should do that with one of my pistol stands.

I have a lowly Dan Wesson CBOB - I love that thing. Even got Tankerman hooked on it. He's trying to trade a SA TRP for one.

I know it's unreal shooting a custom built pistol compared to a factory line built pistol. It's just that alot of people haven't shot a high end pistol so they don't know the difference. I let anyone who want's to shoot mine try it out.

Yea, nighthawks make it too easy to get the one ragged hole... you should try their Predator model... it's unreal! with half of the recoil!
