    LC9 Front Sight Drift

Last night the wife and I went on a range date, and I brought my LC9, which I've put about 100 rounds through so far. My shots all ended up hitting left of aim, so I took my time and put 9 rounds through it very carefully (I had been shooting quickly and more "tactically" up to that point), and they grouped pretty nicely about 4-6 inches left of aim.

So I examined the gun and found the front sight had badly drifted to the right.

Anyone else had this issue? I'm planning to just get back into place and throw some blue locktite on it. Any other suggestions?

This was common with the early LC9 guns. Ruger later "pinned" the front sight on all new LC9's to correct the issue. Contact Ruger.....they used to have you send the slide in, and they would replace with the new slide with the pinned sight.

Mine front sight made it all the way off and disappeared from my LC9. Ruger will pin it for you, their CS rocks.

Awesome, if I can just send in the slight that would be the best. I will call today. Thanks everyone!

Bummer, they want the whole gun, and won't return it to me without returning it to factory condition. When I bought it I removed the mag disconnect by simply pulling it out of the frame with a pair of pliers, which sheared off the track it rode in. They'd have to replace my frame in order to put the mag disconnect back in. Looks like I'll just stake it myself.
