    Hk vs cz

So now that there might be $200 rebate on hk guns in a month they get a little closer to the price range of the cz sp-01 I was looking at. Bit seem to be good guns from what I hear. Hk normally out of price range but maybe not now...

    Thoughts?

Hk's are for those that can afford an "Hk."
CZ's are for those that wish they could afford an Hk.

I buy CZ's because they tell me to buy them. What two guns are you trying to compare here?

I have a usp and a cz 75. I like the usp but i like the cz better. Of course that's my preference only. I like steel guns. The heft makes the recoil more manageable.

Comparing cz sp-01 Lower end $ hk. Usp probably.

I also like the heft of the cz in all steel. Going to rent a cz and if they have an hk I'll check one out too.

I went with a cz, lots of h&k's in the used marketplace.

LOL, I would rather have a Shadow or a CTS over any HK any day of the week.

Good idea, nothing better than actually shooing the guns your trying to decide on.

Not me :P Although I'd take a CZ 97 accu shadow over HK, but thats hardly apples to apples. HKs are just boringly reliable and pretty damn accurate too. As much as I love all my new SSE stuff, the HK Expert is still my go to gun for home defense. Fancy 1911's and X-fives are not going to replace it it for that role either.

I had a HK USP 40. Hated it sold it and bought more CZ's. I personally like CZ more than any other DA/SA, with maybe the exception of Sphinx Arms.

Why didn't you like it though? In what ways were the CZ's better. I'd love to get one to tinker with, but then I figure i may as well jsut get a Sphinx Full size, but then I think there's not much for parts or customization for the sphinx so maybe stick with CZ?... Hmmm.

Ever shot a USP Expert with the match DA/Sa trigger? How do you think a compact CZ in 45 will stack up against an HK 45c? Oh wait what they don't make one? Well that makes the decision easier for me!

Sorry typo, meant to say USP 40. Disliked it because the grips are gigantic and way too big for my hands. Also the grip stippling is a bit too aggressive for my liking and I felt the bore axis a little high. My USP also grew an issue where the hammer wouldn't lock back if it was held on its sides or pointed down. I prefer the ergonomics of a a CZ and with a couple $100, can be made better than a HK for still under their MSRP.

Albeit, HK are great firearms, but I really only recommend them to people with larger hands. But for most other people, they generally will say the CZ feels more comfortable and feels better in the hand.

                              Hk vs cz

For what purpose? For range only, SP-01 would get the most votes. Some folks just don't like shooting an HK.

For HD, HK for sure. Unless you want to throw that 4-pound of CZ at the BG to save ammo
