After spending some time on Youtube looking at all the Negligent Discharge's and people shooting themselves in the leg, It got me thinking ...

There are probably literally a million Glocks carried safely every single day in this country. It would be safe to say that at least 1/4 are carried by total morons. They manage to pull it off just fine.

There is a reason that no LE agency will ever, ever, ever put this on their guns...

+1 on the Safe-T-Block.

I use those and in an emergency it's easy to pop it out with the side of your finger. The other safeties built into the trigger itself would make me nervous as I would think you would need to use the tip of your finger, which in an emergency might also accidentally discharge the weapon.

Us Glock owners know that the best method of self defense is to blow yourself up with a KaBoom (TM) before they can strike first.

I actually prefer to carry my slide assembly in my left pocket and frame in my right. I give the magazine to a trusted friend in my party who will hand me the mag if I give him the proper password. It is much more important that I make things exponentially more difficult in a stressful situation so that I don't actually shoot myself accidentally. This seemed like a much better solution than a proper holster.

Have you thought about installing the NY1 Trigger return spring and using it along with the standard connector?

I have a Glock 19 9mm and a Glock 38 .45GAP and carry a IWB cheap holster from Bass Pro.
I sometimes have the chamber empty and sometimes loaded. It has crossed my mind at times, but I have Confidence in Glock and my trigger finger.
It even states it in the -wait for it- Owners manual to keep finger off the trigger until ready to fire!!!

If you have ever carried a loaded revolver and don't don't remember yourself pulling on the trigger all of the time, then you will find the slightly less trigger pull of the Glock safe enough.

Read a good tip the other day. Carry it empty, see if the trigger is pulled back at the end of the day, I carried mine with snap caps with one in the pipe at first to be comfortable and that really helped a lot.
