    .45ACP for SSE

Pinging the community for recommendations on an all metal .45ACP that is not a 1911 for an SSE slot. I currently have a P220, 1911, and newly purchased P227.

I own some polymers (H&K, SA, and Glock) but I just like the feel of an all metal .45ACP.

Please list the Make, Model, and link. Open to all suggestions and with a budget of around $1000.

    Thanks in advance!

Sarsilmaz K2 .45, the most underrated all steel .45 out there. Its like a sig p227 and a CZ 97 mated and the SAR K2 .45 is the off spring. The trigger is sweetly smooth, its Sweeter than my SP-01 and a pecan pie. Has a picatinny rail which CZ 97 doesn't have, and adjustable sights. This thing is deadly accurate, everyone that I let shoot it are really impressed. And did I mention it holds 14 rounds, well atleast if you move to a free state. The best part is, it can be had for around $600, SSE included.

S&W 25/625 Nothing wrong with having a revolver in that caliber. However SSE might be difficult depending on exactly what version and if the FFL can do the single action mod.

Really nice but I would be concerned about customer support from EAA IMO.

Uber nice! I took a gamble when i bought it, unknown gun and manufacturer. I did a lot of reserach, read all the articles and watched all the youtube videos i could find. All of them has one thing in common, all have no negative feedbacks, buy all praises instead. This is one gamble I surely won.

I ordered it and when i first held it at my LGS, i feel like a little girl hugging her long awaited pony. This gun feels SOLID! I should warn you this gun is on the heavy side, (what do you expect from an all steel double stack gun?!) on the bright side, the recoil is very tame. The only downside that i can say about it, is that it came with 1 mag, so i went ahead and ordered another one. The Magazine is italian made mecgar, and from what ive heard it is the same mag as the para ordinance double stack 1911.

Its is reliable and eats all the ammo the i feed it. I did have a few problems with reloads and i blame them on the ammo. But all factory ammo are good to go.

I had "grabagun" ship two XDM's to an FFL that had the barrels to SSE. No problem.
