HK VP9 Trigger

Wow Im impressed with this gun. Amazing trigger, adjustable grip, shoots great!

Only problem is it bites my finger! After 100 rounds my finger is hurting to where theres the start of a blister.

I watched a video on hickok45 on youtube and he had the same issue. Has anyone tried to maybe sand it on the edge? Just looking for something to take the bite off.

is it because people are resting their trigger finger on the bottom of the trigger guard as well as the trigger?

I have some gap between the trigger guard and my finger.

Are you sliding your finger along the trigger guard? I still don't understand this issue that some people have

edit: YEP, that has to be it. Found it in the picture on the last page here. I think Hickok must just be used to his glocks. I don't drag my finger on the trigger guard on any gun that I fire.

Seems like a bizarre way to pull the trigger to me. Or maybe if you have a really fat finger I could see it being pinch-able.

its from having your finger too low or close to the trigger guard...it gets pinch at the bottom

Looks similar to the HK 45, bit of a groove or valley in the trigger guard. Had to make adjustments to my trigger finger when I first started shooting it.

Pick my VP9 this week, hopefully the adjustments I made carry over.

It's not really an issue. Just pull the trigger like you normally would and don't drag your finger on the finger guard. Many guns can bite you if you shoot them like this. it's likely you have an improper grip or are using your trigger finger incorrectly if you are having this issue.

I maybe Hickok uses his first joint and not the pad of his finger, that might be part of the reason why he experiences the bite. It would be interesting to see what people are doing to get blisters. I have never noticed anything at all when shooting the VP9.

I hear about this with glocks/Vp9s. Some people sand the safety pad. But Its never been a issue for me. It has to be the way people are gripping he weapon.

people have been having problems with this since the hk45 and p30 were released. honestly its the shooter and not the gun.
there are a few places that will make modifications to the trigger guard if you can't retrain yourself

No two people have the same hand or grip. Hicock will get over it.
If it pinches when you do xyz, well don't do that or get another gun that fits your hand better.

Mine shoots great! Haven't had the problems that some people are mentioning with the "bite"! It's a great gun I love it

Took my new VP9 this Sunday to the range (Angeles) and no problems were presented by me or with my brother-in-law. We both shot over 300 rounds on it. He also has bigger hands than me and no one had issues. We shot first 100 rounds with Fiocchi 115gr then went with Surefire reloads 124gr. Solid performer!

But, I was much more impressed with my (also) new Sig P220. Now, this IS a nice piece of metal! It shot better and groupings were tighter.

It totally overshadowed the VP9 experience. I think I should have just taken the VP9... to be fair to it.

One of my friends took a CZ SP01 which was also really sweet to shoot.
