    CZ 75: Limited Edition?

I stumbled upon the CZ 75 75th Anniversary Edition, which is a remake of the original CZ 75. The problem is that my funds are relatively strapped, and having already gotten a regular CZ75 BD, this isn't that high on my priority list. My question is, how does this work in terms of the Handgun Roster? Do I have time to save up for it, or should I sacrifice other purchases to get it in under the gate before SSE is gone? If so, which stores in SoCal would do SSE with a shipped handgun?

Depending on your location I'm sure we can recommend a FFL for the SSE and transfer.

If you're dead set on getting the pistol, go for it. You have a 75BD already and IMO there isn't much difference in both pistols to justify getting the anneversary edition.

The CZ you speak of is off roster, so you would have to DROS it before the end of the year. Allot of FFL's are saying Dec 20th at the latest.

Your location would help to refer you to a local shop.

I'm in Los Angeles, although I often drive up to an hour out for my gun purchases.

Refer to post #2 for SoCal in this link to the SSE sticky

I would call the shop ahead of time to make sure they will receive and can SSE your pistol and so you can ask about the fees.

Reading the first post is also a good idea if you need a better understanding of the SSE process.

If you can track down a 75th Anniversary CZ 75, unless you can buy off-roster guns for some other reason, you will have to SSE it by January 1st, 2015. Or you could hope that someone local to you will want to sell one after January 1st in a private party transfer. The only 9mm CZ 75 B on the roster is designated by SKU: 01102. I believe the SKU for the 75th Anniversary CZ75 is 91119, but I don't know for sure, because mine didn't come with barcode stickers. So the 75th Anniversary CZ 75 isn't on the roster. Other than possibly the barcode stickers, there's nothing that says the SKU number, so I guess a less-than-fastidious gun shop may consider it an on-roster gun. That said, I wouldn't be so quick to burn one of my SSE slots on it. While it does look nice, it is just a CZ75B Retro that had some more machining done to the slide, and people have been asking for silly amounts of money for them. You could be putting that towards a better shooting CZ instead. Though this all sounds hypocritical because I did end up getting one.

As far as I know there were two different 75th anniversary cz's. One was a black short rail with slightly different machining on the slide and frame.

The other was stainless with engraving and eagles on the grips.

There is also the new anniversary edition...

The anniversary model is subject to the roster and 1 in 30 days. You can probably sell of the 75BD and acquire it later on in the future since it's still on roster.

This one is also marketed as limited edition in the U.S. in the rest of the world it is called the New Edition. So its not very limited.

                      Ya Angus Hobdell owns #999.

I have to say out of the limited editions out there the Coldwar edtion ^^ is more entertaining than some.

There are a few Anniversary editions that look great but i do not think i would want to shoot them, so i do not plan on trying to acquire any of them.
