The Glock 30S is just a Gen3 G30SF frame with a 36 slide.
You get a few millimeters thinner on the slide. I see no real major advantage in this, because the frame is still the same thickness as a regular 30SF.
A straight up 36 would be thinner for all around.
But if you are going to SSE, might as well go Gen4 for more felt advantage of the texture.
