    CZ P-07 slide/frame fit?

I have new CZ P-07 that I just thought had issue with heavy recoil spring mentioned on another string. Upon field striping I find my slide is rubbing on frame at least more than what seems should be normal. I removed recoil spring and barrel then reassembled. There is still noticeable friction/resistance between slide and frame. I did take to range and gun functions but did have one FTE.

I'd prefer a tight frame fit over wiggles. Rubbing on rails is fine imo

Mine is the same with the super tight fit and 100 pound recoil spring, and I know what you mean with the plastic on the sidea of the frame showing wear... I've been hoping the spring will soften up and that the wear on the slide was from first use. Might have to go back to cz, but I'm hesitant to send because I don't want to use an sse slot 2x on same gun if it needs replacing. Maybe they will just send us lighter springs. Mine fte's like crazy.

If there was friction between the metal slide and the plastic frame, in theory wouldn't that cause the slide to move more slowly, making a FTE less likely? ammo used?

            don't trip.

            shoot it more.

move on. i think it'll be ok.

Asking if this is normal. No metal shavings. If anything were to wear it would be frame since is polymer. Comparing to SP2022 where everything moves nice and smooth.

I would shoot it more. To see if it continues to function properly.

If the tight fit is causing problems then i would start thinking about sending it in.

It may just ware itself in after 500 - 1000 rounds.

In other words all of my CZ's have had a few hiccups in the first few 100 rounds. I consider this break in.

There would be no metal shavings, it's just metal on plastic... but very tight. I feel you. It is a very accurate gun tho, I want it to work.. will put another couple hundred thru... it would probably work great with +p+ lol.

Nah in this case the slide doesn't move fast enough, so spent casings are not clearing the action.

It is fine if it shoots accurately. are you running this slide dry or luricated? For a new gun, it does not hurt to have extra couple of drops of your choice lubricant on the rails to help in break in period. run it wet. also I do not take a new one apart before 5 to 600 rounds. let the rails grind themselves into place. I would not worry about the slide being tight unless it causes repeated malfunction.

Mine FTE 'S like 2/3 the time, but it's still under ~200 rounds.

                            Blue spring also here.
