    XDs trigger options?

I recently purchased a Springfield XDS 9mm and have been having fun breaking it in. The more I shoot it though, the less I like the creep in the trigger. I'm really digging the gun itself, the trigger just feels...well, for lack of a better term, "squishy."

The Shield has an Apex trigger option but what does the XDs have? I'm looking for something that will either eliminate the creep or make the reset shorter. Is there anything on the market currently, or something that may be coming?

I put the Powder River Precision Spring Kit (http://shop.powderriverprecision.net...&categoryId=17) and it made quite a difference.

I love the PRP trigger on my XD, I'd imagine it's equally as good on an xds

I wonder if putting in "replacement" springs when your springs "are worn out" counts as modifying the trigger/function, as pertaining to restrictions to ccw mods.

The PRP spring kit helps, but its nowhere close to the performance improvement of the mods on the Shield. I installed the PRP kit and polished all the mating surfaces to a mirror finish. It helps over the stock trigger, but the Shield trigger is much better.

The shield trigger is also much worse out of the box and most issuing agencies will not allow you to put in an aftermarket trigger for ccw, which these guns are ideally suited for.

So you are saying the XDs had the best trigger out of the box but the Shield can be improved the most.
With carry guns being best for legal defense when in stock configuration, it makes the choice easy.
If they are going to be a range gun then there are better choices than either one.

For a carry gun the XDs trigger is fine IMO. I see a lot of people complain about triggers on their subcompact carry guns, but it's not a range gun, Train with the gun (the XDs trigger will actually smooth out a bit) and get comfortable with the trigger.
