If your watching because you just like to watch people shooting guns for entertainment purposes, than Yes! If your watching for educational purposes than I would say skip it! I was able to borrow it from a friend and personally wouldn't pay $50 for it.

I watched the DVDs for free after many visitations to Riflegear and long waiting lines.

Meh. One could find it using BitTorrent but I would never recommend doing that.

I like the Magpul Art of the Precision Rifle and the Art of the Dynamic Handgun. The rest of them were pretty worthless imo. The aforementioned DVDs have a lot of great information on them and follow a lot of the philosophies taught at Front Sight, Jeff Cooper, and many other schools that teach similar combat techniques.

                  Agreed.

Art of the Precision Rifle was a good one, the Magpull guys are not talking most of the time.

                  The handgun one is ok.

I did not mind the shotgun one. But that is partly due to me not knowing the first thing about shotguns.

The rest of them i can do without.

Don't worry. Shotguns are for the birds.

I have their precision rifle dvd and its good but think real classes and time behind the gun are best. Proper instruction from a competent instructor cannot be replaced.

Thanks for the fast replies. I have a couple of trips coming up and looking for something when wifi isn't available. For $50 in the blind made me wonder. Not like there are many used ones out there so I had to ask

This. The DVD won't hurt to get started, but the DVD can't look back at you and correct your technique like an actual instructor.

Easier to get your technique right up front working with a competent instructor vs having to unlearn bad habits later

I have taken quite a few defensive pistol classes and from a technical point of view, they really didn't teach me anything new that the Art of the Dynamic Handgun didn't go over. Many handgun shooting schools base their curriculum on Jeff Cooper's teachings, and Magpul doesn't deviate far from that. Sure, it is great to have a coach help you with training, but once you got the basics down, it is just trigger time.

The Art of the Precision rifle gives a lot of great information about rifles, scopes, reticles, trigger control, wind calling, and the usefulness of ballistic calculators. I think it is a great way to get a basic understanding of long distance precision shooting and can get you on the right track to get started on the sport.

If you knew nothing about either, it will start you off appropriately where after some shooting, you can discover personal preferences and what works for the individual.
