CZ slide to frame for question

I've never notice this before so I thought I would ask. The CZ sp01 I am about to dros has some slide side to side wiggle if I cock the hammer back. But the wiggle goes away when I put the hammer down. Anyone else notice this on their CZ? Yes I know its a 650 dollar gun and not a nice 1911, but I would rather wait on another CZ if its not the norm.

I plan to check my other CZ's when I get home.

Never really noticed that with my CZ's. Then again I'm not that critical of fit or finish on a duty type pistol.

If it bothers you now it will probably bother you in the future.

Yeah if my other cz's have it I won't mind, just want to make sure its not an oddball. But like you mentioned it is a duty gun, and expecting it to be completely tight and fitted is asking for a bit much at this price point. They are stand alone great guns typically though.

My 75B SA has a little give in it when i wiggle it by hand. Firms up when hammer is down. Actually seems more like up and down than side to side. Rounds still go where i want them to.

Actually, mine does too.. But i dont know whats your definition of wiggle. Mine has a VERY VERY VERY VERY slight wiggle. I'm talking like Wilson Combat 1911 wiggle.

Remember guys slide to frame fit is not critical when you are using iron sights. As long as the barrel locks up tight to the slide then the bullets will go where the slide is pointed. A loose barrel fit causes inaccuracy for slide mounted sights.

Same here, it moves but I'd probably have to get feeler gauges (small ones) out to measure it.

Interesting, i was just about to ask this question. Some of my CZ's have a tiny bit of play between the slide and frame.

My new 75 Shadow has noticeably more play than any of my other CZ's. I was was curious as to weather this could effect accuracy.

Glad that is cleared up. Your answer makes perfect sense bwhited.

                  Thanks

The only pistol I have with no wiggle on frame to slide is my Baer PII. My wife's sp-01, my CZ97, Sig 1911, and G19 all wiggle.

Id be more worried if your wilson 1911 had any wiggle .....
