Yes "slot" is just slang for 1 gun every 30 days during this period.

As it has come down to the wire for SSE ending buyers have kinda looked at how many times or the qty. of handguns they can get before years end ... thus factoring in being able to buy 1 gun every 30 days.

Buyers are calling them "Slots" meaning how many days remaining before years end that can fit a gun into that slot / day before its all over.

Just another short and simple gun guy term is all.

The guy you are talking about may have been a guy who has planned out the days (slots) he has left to buy a gun ... so he may know he wants a 1911 this month, M&P the next month, A PPQ the next month and then the Last "Slot" or day in the last month he can SSE he is wanting a VP9 ... in turn leaving the guy with No More Slots available cause he has em all planned out etc .... just a thought on what you may have read and what the guy must have meant.

To be clear, the "slots" are just the 1-in-30 restrictions we have for all handguns. There's no distinction between on or off roster guns as far as frequency is concerned (until 12/31 at least).

Had the opportunity to put a mag through the 5" 9mm ported model today (a guy a couple lanes down at Metcalf in San Jose had one, along with some other real nice SSE/SAE handguns), and I've got to say that the trigger on it felt damn good. Seemed like there's basically no reset whatsoever, and I feel like it's most comparable to pulling a rubber band - no grit whatsoever. The only real "complaint" that I would have is that I could neither hear nor feel the trigger reset point.
