    Affordable ammo

I've seen a few advertisements for reloaded ammo on this site. I wanted to see what everyone else experience has been with purchasing reloaded ammo from different sites. Any recommendations on the quality etc... Thanks

I've had good results with reloads from LAX Ammo (http://www.laxammo.com/)

I've used surefire and some other one I bought in Vegas. Both worked just fine through all my guns.

I noticed The price difference for 1000 Rounds of 9mm from Freedom was only around $9. What do you guys think?

^^^ive had bad experience with surefire. Brand new bag(9mm-147gr) third round in ftf, seventh round ftf... Probably 3 more after that throughout the entire 500 rount bag... I will never buy from them again...

Btw it was through an m&p9c, completely stock...

Yeah I noticed that too....and sometimes even less. I'm pretty sure the only difference is in the new vs. old brass. I personally would probably just buy new if the difference is only a few dollars, that way I know where I'm at with how many firings the brass has gone through.

EDIT: oops, I was assuming you were talking about their new vs. reloads.

Gunbot.net and slickguns.com are good meta search sites (ie when you search you're comparing prices across many retailers at once)

I used to shoot with Georgia Arms religiously back in the day. Very reliable reloads IMO. Between me, my brother and two of my cousins, we've probably gone through close to 10k rounds of their stuff without a single hiccup. But they're no longer all that affordable after shipping so lately I've been using Miwall reloads since they attend all the local gun shows (just gotta be willing to wait in line). I've probably gone through about 500 rounds each of 9mm and .45 of the Miwall stuff and so far, so good.

If you're in the Sacramento area, RedLine ammo is a division of LAX ammo. you can call ahead and pick up right at the warehouse. No shipping delays/charges

AND Freedommunitions has free shipping til the end of the month!

I assume the same and will vouch for freedommunitions.com. I've mostly shot their .40 with no issues. It seems they have NEW 9mm more than they do .40.

For the price difference I'll buy new for piece of mind though I'm confident their reman is just as good. As mentioned it's just mixed brass. You'll find a thread or two around here complaining about their ammo but when it comes to reloading companies they seem to be one of the bigger ones and if they had really been bad overall you'd hear about it more often and they wouldn't have lasted as long as they have.

I bought some freedom munitions 9mm 115gr. reloads. They worked flawlessly in my PPQ, but the accuracy was poor. The Speer gold dots where accurate as could be.

^I dont think comparing freedom munitions reloads to New Factory Speer Gold Dots for accuracy is really a fair comparison.

what do we think about what dude? you stated something that had NO question.

I've probably shot 1500 rounds of freedom munition reloads and new within the last 3 months and I had 1 FTF out of those.
