    SSE gun rental?

Does anybody know if any ranges have off roster guns that they rent. Wanted to try a couple to help me make a decision on what to SSE. Would need to be somewhere around the San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange County or Los Angeles area. Thanks.

Only place I know that have off roster firearms for rent is Iron Sights in Oceanside. It maybe a bit of a drive for you, but it could be worth it with the amount of money you may save.

What specific ones are you looking for? Last time I looked, a local range still had M&Ps to rent. When I bought mine, they were on roster.

Mainly interested in the P938, PPQ, LC9S and CM9.

My wife has the LC9s and says "it's a lot like my shield... only louder!"

I already have the LC9 but read the trigger was better on the striker fire model.

Thanks, I'll email or call them. It's about a 90 min drive for me but I'd be willing if they have a few of what I want to try.

Sure, the LC9 is a "double action only" pistol and has a long(ish) hard(ish) pull. The striker fired version is, well, striker fired.

I never found a DAO pistol that I liked. I prefer the DA/SA types even over striker fired. When I shot the LC9s, I found the trigger to be "slightly" heavier and longer than the shield 9.

Sorry if I've just added to the confusion

Thanks--I had no idea. What does Iron Sights have off-roster for rent?

Who slew of CZ's, 1911's, Beretta, Glock, Kimber, SigArms, HK, Springfield, Ruger, Colt, Remington, S&W. I'd give me a call for more specifics.

Thanks Slayer, I always like to hear opinions from others especially when I'm trying to decide myself what I want.

Tovarish....I sent Iron Sights an email asking if they had the four I had mentioned earlier. I will post up what they tell me once I hear back from them. If I don't get a return email by tomorrow morning, I'll give them a call.

Ok, I just talked to Iron Sights and they do have a few off roster guns for rent like the M&P models but none of the 4 I'm looking to try. They said the ones they have were Cali legal guns that fell off the roster, and that they don't have any guns that were not Cali legal at some point.

I guess the only way to try the ones I'm interested in before purchasing is to find someone that has one and try it that way. I sure wish the IE monthly shoot at Rancho Magnum would start back up. Thanks to those that chimed in.

The ppq and the lc9s both have amazing triggers
