    Glock 34 Trigger...

Took my brand new Gen 3 Glock 34 out to the range on Friday and sent 150 rounds through it with no issues. But, right out of the box the trigger felt really mushy. The travel before it hits the wall is not smooth at all compared to my G19 and G17. The break is not as clean either. The reset doesn't have a big issue but it's mainly the travel and the break.

Anyone else have/had this same problem? If so, how did you fix it? Would love to get this trigger as smooth and crispy.

An aftermarket trigger or Gunsmith is the fix.

G34 and g35 glocks have the glock - connectors to make the trigger lighter ... but it makes them mushier too. Try a regular glock connector, no minus or dot mark.

You can always do the 25 cent trigger job yourself. I did it to mine and I feel like it helped a little. It's easy to do, just time consuming.

Bob @ Centerfire Firearms in Riverside, the guy does great trigger work on all of the plastic guns.

@Glenn.ma Thanks! Going to call a smith and figure this out.

@lead waster I put the connector from my G19 and it works just fine but I do want to bring the lbs down since it will be my competition gun. But with the regular connector is exactly how I would love for it to feel.

@hemiguy55 I did the .25 trigger job yesterday and it did feel a bit better but it was still mushy. hhmm. I don't want to do too many modifications to it but I'm going to try a competition trigger spring and see how that feels.

Was this under the clock? Or just shooting static? Most of that disappears on the start signal.

Like someone already said, the connector is different. If you really think your Glock 17 trigger is perfect just get a factory connector to replace your minus "-" connector... or if you could put your 34 upper slide and barrel on your Glock 17 frame Shoot that. You could also swap out your connector with your 19 or 17 - sounds like you tried that already.

I have the Ghost 3.5 and Rocket connectors in different guns and they are both nice. The Rocket is much smoother and lighter with no stacking and zero overtravel if fitted right, but would be definitely be considered mushier IMHO.

Most people like the ZEV stuff if you are looking for something more serious.

I put a Zev Fulcrum adjustable trigger on my G34 gen3. The stock trigger felt the same as the one in my gen3 g19 and I wanted something better. The fulcrum is an awesome trigger and I adjusted out most of the take up. The break is very clean and the reset is a bit shorter than stock. Trigger pull is 4 lbs. since it's not a carry weapon, I figured I'd try to make it as good as I can.

Dont the triggers have to be broken in before suggesting any trigger jobs?

Keep in mind it's a new trigger and will smooth over with time. But What you are experiencing primarily is that the 34 has the "-" 3.5lb connector. That is what you are feeling. Buy a standard connector and it will feel the same as your other glock's.

Many people prefer the "-" connector. I shot it for about a year on all my glock's and went back to the standard connector. I prefer the standard trigger just like you

Give it some time to smooth out a bit. My g34 with $.25 trigger job is the best trigger among my 5 Glocks.

Not necessarily. My Gen4 34 came with a 5.5 lb trigger according to the label on the box. Granted, I have not taken the gun apart to confirm, but the "-" connector may not be an absolute.

It was static shooting but you're right...signal goes off and it does go away. This is going to be my competition gun when I do compete so great point!
