I have a P30L that just came into Brian's in Burlingame. Not sure how it shoots yet, but I might not keep it either. I do have 2 P30s and 1 P30L, all in 9mm, and love them.

Pick ur poison. Test drive it if u can first. Xdm would be cheaper, have aftermarket support and cheaper mags. Hk=$$$$ and not much aftermarket support.

P30 seems a lot like the p2000 to me and itis on the roster. Just my .02.

HK P30 is the better weapon but you are comparing a sticker wired weapon with a traditional hammer fired one .....

Which XDm? I have numerous and just added a 5.25 .40 (already had a 9). For target the 5.25 is such a blast.

I was in the same boat last month. To me the p30 looks better and the ergonomics were hard to beat, so I picked one up. Though the price of the HK is what is usually the deal breaker.

I have both and they are not. The P30 is superior when it comes to ergonomics (but my hand fits the finger grooves so it heavily weighs my opinion in that direction).

Awesome! I was going to suggest that, but came late to the party. Being that you have little time left for SSE, it only seems logic to get the more expensive one as you might not ever get a chance to get it in a very very long time! I think the XDm is a nice handgun too, but with time running out and having to be put in such a difficult spot, I would have gone big too!

Enjoy your new P30---I have a P30S (9mm, DA/SA, ambi-safety) and consider it one of my favorite pistols...
