Never had problems loading my magazines. Even my 22 round magazines for my duty Glock 22. When I got 30 round Beretta magazines for 92/93R I definitely needed a mag loader. Lol

Are mag loaders for real men?

If you measure your manhood by the manner you load your mags, then you have some serious reevaluation to do. Gave my black uplula to my daughter and just ordered a plnk one for myself.Comment

Anyone who has 'gender' issues about using mag loaders to more quickly and comfortably load magazines, and avoid cuts, scrapes, abrasions, etc. should see a shrink.
There's the hard way and there's the easier way. Some people always choose to do it the hard way for some absurd reason.
I don't know why someone would choose to go out of their way to do this the hard way. It would be similar to refusing to buy an automatic transmission car solely because, in their view, it is not 'masculine'.Last edited by ifilef; 09-20-2014, 12:04 PM.Comment

many of those that have worked with their hands for a lifetime are now finding themselves afflicted with hand related medical problems, many of which can fully incapacitate free range of motion of digits and render the hands to be almost useless for purpose of fine hand coordination and some of the activities of daily living. chronic pain syndrome that is caused by hand and digit problems is common. causative factors include chronic redundant movement of hands and digits while applying stress to same. i've had at least 8 hand, digit and wrist surgeries and have one pending that i've postponed.
using a mag loader may serve as a preventative treatment for those that might have a predisposition to such medical problems that typically become symptomatic in later life. the mag loader assists in the loading of magazines for those that have already become afflicted with overt symptoms of hand related medical problems.
wearing gloves while shooting can further assist as a preventative measure to lessening the potential for hand related issues that develop in later life.
for those that snicker at such talk, although the incidents of hand related problems tend to be most common in families with a history of same, this is not always the case. if you live long enough, arthritic symptoms of the hands and digits may sooner or later visit you, and Mr Murphy may accompany these symptoms when they arrive at your door. symptoms can vary from mild to severe; YMMV.
i use the UpLULA when loading mags for range use, and load my mags manually when they are designated for defensive use.Comment

I don't think anyone is saying it's not important to be able to load your mags manually. I'm saying it's silly to not use a good tool to avoid tearing up your thumb loading 500 rnds for a fun day at the range.Comment

This entire thread is absurd...
This whole thread is absurd. Why care? Just go with one's preference- it's very simple, either use a mag loader or not. I won't judge someone's manhood either way, and really don't care about it.Last edited by ifilef; 09-20-2014, 12:28 PM.Comment

IMO, the Uplula's are not inexpensive but well worth it in the long run, e.g., if one doesn't lose it or has it stolen.Comment
