    P210 w/ 7.65 Para conversion barrel

I just wanted to put up a picture of my Sig P210 with a 7.65 Para barrel & spring conversion.

It's kinda cool to be able to shoot two different rounds out of a single semi...

I've been trying to also track down the .22 conversion set up, but man is it expensive. I think I last saw one for over $1,500 which is sooo crazy.

    oh well.

Hey, I wonder if someone could modify a barrel to shoot .380? wow, now that is another thread worthy discussion.

    Be cool ya'll

Nice! Ive been wanting a .22 conversion as well, but like you mentioned, very pricey.

Interesting---does the factory 22 conversion kit from the older Swiss made P210 fit on this newer model? My mid-80s P210-2 9mm pistol is mostly shot these days with its 22lr conversion kit in place---haven't had the 9mm slide on there for probably 15 years!
The magazines for the 22lr conversion kit were the main issue---the prices for these has shot thru the roof! Lucky, I've got three and probably a half dozen mags in 9mm as well...

I was under the impression the .22 conversion kits would fit. Man, I better double check before dropping coinage on it.

I'm guessing a 380 conversion would be similar to a 22 lr type. Nonlocking barrel, spring of sufficient strength and probably a steel slide. A dedicated mag may or may not be needed.

380 ammo isn't cheap. Going 9mm Makarov probably makes more sense, if one is into conversions. I have a 9mm & 41 AE set up - anything's cheaper than 41 AE.

One problem with using the older 22lr conversion kit would have to be the magazines---the Swiss SIG P210 series lock the mags in place from the bottom of the grip---the newer German made pistols lock the mags in place using a 1911 style button on the side of the grip. Other than that, I don't know if the dimensions are the same as the older Swiss made guns...

+1. Also does it require any gun smithing.

I got the conversion barrel & spring on a Rock Island Auction online. I just drops right in, in place of the 9mm barrel and spring. They were made by Sig to just drop right in.

It's pretty easy and convenient and uses the 9mm magazines. So, you can go back and forth between cartridges.

Also, I'm thinking another 7.65x21mm barrel could be modified to accept the 380. But, the overall bullet length maybe too much to get over or to costly in man hours for a smith. At least on my budget. I've seen magic from some of those smiths...

Next, I would work on modifying the magazine to accept the shorter length 380.

I found about this the hard way with a 9mm mag.

I've been wanting to post it in the sales section since it won't work on my P210, but keep dragging my feet.

You should look at all the alternative barrels and magazines for the 210; then you can decide whether to buy those or all of Switzerland. Same price for either...I've wondered for years what the Swiss are smoking, ingesting, injecting, that makes them overcharge for damn near everything they make.

Have you handled a swiss p210? Worth every penny. Like them more than my german p210s
