Trying to keep it simple

Ok, I've been spending a lot of time shooting my steel targets I got a couple months ago. Really enjoying them...a lot!
Since I've found this new love, I'm getting much better, faster and accurate. Might even consider trying some very amateur shoots.
I shoot a bone stock XD9 and XD45. Looking to pick up an XD40 tomorrow. What, if any upgrades can I make to this platform to make it better. Who makes a good trigger?
Now the keeping it simple part. I had battery powered gadgets on my guns. Flashlights are one thing, but lasers, reflex, red dots just don't thrill me.
I saw a sight called a Z-Flex by Gemini Defense as I was surfing around. I see write ups and good comments, but I don't see where to buy, did they go belly up? Has anyone seen or tried these before?

Cool thanks. I'm not sure which one of these will become my "hotrod", my wife like the 9's for HD, the 45 is on my CCW. Haven't shot the 40 yet. Might be it or one of the 9's.

i've gone back to the von Stavenhagen OEM factory sights for most of my w german Sigs. the 3 DOT sight system is distracting for my older eyes and interferes with fast front sight acquisition; YMMV.

Steel targets are the greatest thing ever and make you better at shooting, for sure. They are a great training aide for me because I don't waste so many bullets anymore. Everything needs to hit bullseye gong.
