Question about Glock 22 Gen 1

Thinking about getting this from a friend. Hardly used, if at all. Serial reveals manufacture 1991. Any issues with this generation of .40? Any parts upgrade recommendations?

    FYI.
    It's a Gen 2, there are no Glock 22 Gen 1.

Have a certified Glock Armorer check it out.
Go to a GSSF match, there is usually a Glock Armorer there and will check out & replace old/worn/damaged parts for free.

          Hi Jim

          It's a Gen 2.

Glock had an upgrade program for Gen 2 s and you should probably have a Glock Certified Armorer take a look at it. The upgrade involves replacing internals (old models had black internals) and a better barrel that had more case support at the 6 o'clock position. Worth a call to a Glock.

Many Thanks. If you have a Glock armorer recommendation in Northern California, I will contact them.
