    New S & W PC Custom 1911

I've had my eye on one for a little while and walked in to my LGS today, and there it was sitting in the showcase.
It must have been fate, so how could I NOT buy it?
20 minutes later, out the door.

All cleaned up and ready to shoot tomorrow.

Very nice. I noticed you live in Vegas. I miss AZ and the cash and carry.

Are those ports? Or just cuts.

    Nevermind. I looked closer.

Dude! Where have I seen those exact same pictures before? Gorgeous gun and definitely a head-turner!

Great choice, now you might have to get the commander version to complete the set. You should probably add o-rings under the grip screws to keep them from loosening up, mine, loosened up on the first trip out to the range.

Congrats , I have my eye on one too, but it sold before I could check it out. How is the trigger pull?

Looking forward to your range report.

To use an often quoted term: Like breaking a glass rod. It's right under 4 pounds with a terrific reset.

I put my very first rounds through it during the Las Vegas IDPA classifier today.
90 rounds of Federal Champion, plus another 100 afterwards.
The guys thought I was nuts for bring a brand new gun out to something like this (especially a 1911 of any kind).
I absolutely cannot be any happier...except...

After the match, I went out and picked up a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II. At 20% off, how could I say no?

Sounds like a fantastic pistol right out of the box. I looked at a Colt 1911 $1400.00 and it was bone dry from the factory with a not so great trigger.
Good pick up and thanks for sharing.

For a little more than $100 more than the Colt you looked at, I can recommend the PC without any reservation!

I bought mine back in June. Factory magazine that came with it was crap. FTF FTE many times with every 1911 I have. It wouldn't even load first rd with 8 rds in mag. SW pc1911 ran fine with other mags(WC ETM mags). I sent factory mags to SW, and received same exact mags back. I guess they don't bother testing these mags.
