So I posted some Pics of a Shield I bought last weekend without the thumbsafety took it out to the range to test it today.
Soone, I know im not that great of a shot so i was only shooting at 7 to 10 yards, as this will be a cary weapon and i wont be shooting much farther than that. I ran about 100 round of federal 115 Gr FMJ ammo, and 50 round of federal HST 124 Grain to make sure HSTs feed correctly
I did not nove any failure to fires to report. I did test the firing capability withthe magazine removed and one in the chamber it fired well. all though the casing came out from the mag well instead (not sure if that is normal)
With the magaine in the ejection of casings seemed fine
My grouping were pretty bad, but it was minute of a badguy so i guess that good enough for now as i plan to start carrying it soon
( this was shooting one handed adn drawings from a holster keep in mind)
also practiced some off hand shooting and double tapping with both hands
Keep in mind when i was taking my time to shoot the gun did fire pretty well witha grouping of about 4 to 5 inches at 10 yards. so not bad for accuracy, im sure the gun shoots better than i do.
I will say the magazines were a pain to load, hopefully after a while it wont be a problem
and this isnt a gun that i would be taking to the range to have fun mre for practice. cause after a while it was straining my hand. but this was bought purely for self defense situations and not plinking so i am ok with that.
also the trigger on it IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER than my Fullsize M&p9 and M&P9c
the M&P9c is still going to be my primary carry gun as i still shoot it the best
but the shield is a great option for the days im wearing basketball shorts or something as it does get really hot out here in Vegas
Hope this helps anyone who is planning on getting a shield. I am really happy with the purchase
happy shooting
