All:
I took in my Glock 22 for registering for my CCW. I've had it for some time now and bought it used from another Calgunner.
The lady processing the gun at the Sheriff's department kept looking at the serial number. I finally had to ask her what was up. Well, turns out that the serial number on the bottom of the frame starts with a "2", followed by the three-letter code, whereas the (same number) on the rest of the gun just has the three letter code followed by the three digits.
She asked me if I knew why it had a "2" leading the number...and only on the frame. She said she had seen lots of Glocks, but this was the first one with the "2" on it.
I never even noticed it!
Does anyone out there know why this would be?
Thanks!
Dave
