I purchased a Glock 17 (new) somewhere around year 2000. It came with (2) 10 round mags, not the 17 rd mags. It has a single pin, so I am reasonably confident that it is a Gen 1. I have put about 200 rounds through it, and then it sat in my safe. Just last month I took it shooting and put another 150 rounds through it...shoot perfectly with no FTF, FTE issues.
Other than a couple of very minor "rub" marks, the gun is pretty "new" looking.
So, my question is: is a good condition glock 17 gen 1 worth anything special? Is it worth more than a new gen 4? Is it worthy to be a collectors item. i do have the original box, and paperwork. I will look at it to get the actual dates etc...
If it is worth it, I would probably part with it, as I would like to move to a smaller frame carry weapon.
