    Shield ccw options

Hello, after spending ample time on the range getting comfortable wwith my 9mm Shield, I am ready to carry it as my ccw. I would, however, like to get a durable, reliable and comfortable holster (iwb and also owb). I would also like to look into sight options (night sights, fiber optics, etc.)

In my research for these Shield accessories, it would help if my fellow Calgunners who ccw the Shield could chime in with what sights and holsters they have. Pics would also be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

While browsing the forum and the net I keep hearing people say good things about these guys.

Buy Holsters. Check out concealed and open carry holsters and more. Made in the USA and backed by a forever warranty, we holster over 700 gun models. Conceal in comfort at Alien Gear Holsters.

I've been using a foxx for a while now, it works great and it's cheap. Night sights aren't necessary with a carry gun, but if you feel inclined, truglo tfo, or xs big dots would be my choice.
      Have a good day!

OWB: Blackdog Concealment, good quality holsters and mag pouches and they ship within a couple of days at most.

If you have the time (6-8 weeks) then look into a Custom Carry Concepts Quick Carry (Kydex) or at the high-end a TT-Gunleather Mike's Special or Slim XC. Note that all three of these IWBs ride very low.

I use the CrossBreed Supertuck Deluxe for IWB: http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/Ho...e/Default.aspx

I disagree about night sights. You never know when you might need to deal with a threat. I got Meprolights and love them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...KSDCMKIPESNSWE

How do they fit width wise? Do they hang over the side of the slide?

I am very pleased with my Crossbreed AIWB that I use with my Kahr. Very well built, very comfortable.

For the Shield I went with a Stealth Gear Onyx and it is even more comfortable than the Crossbreed and conceals slightly better. http://www.stealthgearusa.com/produc...ith-and-wesson

Note too: There's already a number of holster threads for the Shield. There's also holster and sights forums.

Looks like Tritium sights can't be shipped to (maybe within?) CA anymore. I tried to order my Trijicon HDs and nobody would ship them, so I had to get them at a LGS.

Tried a few 2 clip types, like the N82 the best so far.
