    Mdl 60

    Have a early Smith Mdl 60 no dash ser# 31XX. Anyone that can give me a ball park date of Manufacture.
    Also Estimated value with box and papers. Excellent condition

      if the number you have given was found at the yoke/crane, that would be an assembly number. if this is the case, the serial number is found at the butt.

        No letter prefix ot anything? Seems early. They started making them in 1965.

          i'm not aware of any Model 60 examples with serial number having only four numbers without a letter prefix. if i'm wrong, i'm a willing student. the first serial numbers for the Model 60 were in the 401XXX range without a letter prefix. in 1969 the R prefix was added with serial number beginning with R001.
