    Thumbs up for Dan Wesson

I shot my Dan Wesson Guardian for the first time yesterday and boy the gun is smooth. It's tight but not ridiculously tight like a Les Baer where a weaker round would not fully cycle the action. The only problem is that the gun uses sight picture 1 so I contacted Dan Wesson to see what they can do and they got back to me this morning tell me they would install new sights for me to shoot POI (sight picture 3) for free if I send the slide in. Now that's what I call customer service!

    that's awesome CS!

I have a Black Duty Valor & a CCO, LOVE them both! Prob should get a VBOB before SSE is gone, but don't quite have the budget for it...

I got my specialist 2 weeks ago and LOVE it! Glad to hear the CS is happy to help.

Side note I put 500 rounds down the pipe and not 1 malfunction. no issues at all!

I really like how there really is not a 1,000 round break in period like the Les Baer (for me it's more like 2,000 rounds). I would have steer away from it if reloading supplies in 2012 were as tight as it is now. I really like their Black Duty finish. The Guardian is going to be my CCW gun

PS: I'm getting a PPQ as well

What amazed me was how quickly they got back to me. I sent the email last night around 11pm and 7:30am this morning I got a reply!

I sent about 230 rds of freedom munition reloads last night with no issues at all. I gotta hit the press so I have more ammo to shoot.

It's making me wonder if I really want that Warren Tactical 9mm 1911 from SACS or not...

I ordered 10-8's flat trigger for the Guardian. It should be an awesome unit based on what I've read.

awesome! The Valor was my unicorn, it's my nightstand gun now. I considered the CCO as one of my 3 CCW's, but I think it's gonna be the PPQ, PPS, and either the Sphinx or the VP9 as my 3 CCW's. I pick up the VP9 on tomorrow, hopefully hit the range with the PPQ, VP9, and Sphinx (side by side comparison) this weekend (if I get the green light from the wife), then I'll be able to decide which to add to my ccw.

That sounds like it's going to be a good trip for you man! Please do post your impression on the VP9 vs PPQ after shooting it.

The magwell on my Specialist is loose after about 500 rounds. Tighten it with locktie. Been trouble free ever since...

Picking up my Stainless Valor tomorrow, can't wait!

Also picking up my "broken-in" Les Baer P2 1.5" next Monday... We'll see how they stack up against each other.
