    HossB7's Megaforce M&P Menagerie thread

It's about time I made this damn thread; especially since my Glock thread was doing so well and I've owned my M&P for a lot longer!

    Link to Glock thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=931336

I'll kick this off with the first picture I took of my M&P:

So, about 4 months go by and I put just over a thousand rounds through the gun (zero cleaning, zero lubrication, zero malfunctions), but I knew I wanted to make some changes. I called Randy at APEX Tactical and he said to swing by their shop.

A blisteringly quick two weeks go by and I get a call: the gun is ready.

        I had them add:
        Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit
        Polymer AEK trigger
        RAM
        Failure-Resistant Extractor
installation of new Heinie Stright-8 Sights
        removal of magazine disconnect

And the trigger weight was measured at 4lbs 13ozs - one of the best triggers I've ever felt in a polymer gun.

        Heinie Sights:

        Failure-Resistant Extractor:

        Polymer AEK Trigger:

        Beautiful!

I won't crosspost the accuracy photos of my M&P that are posted in the Glock thread, but I've been chasing accuracy with this gun since I got it.

Close in it's not too shabby:

          And:

But I start to notice fliers when I push to distance:

This is the most consistent group I've gotten to date:

This gun has also been very reliable. I have going on 2,800+ rounds with only 1 malfunction (failure to fire) which has been traced to a bad primer on a Winchester NATO round:

Very quick video of me hitting 1/4 scale Tac Strike Steel at 100 yards:

Earlier this year I contacted Grant at G&R tactical for one of his fitted Storm Lake match barrels.

After waiting my turn, I sent in my slide.

I got the barrel and slide back today:

It fits very nice into the gun and has a solid lock up.

I look forward to trying this out. People on M4C have posted sub-2" groups at 25 yards. Fingers crossed.

Great write up, I'm looking forward to the continued testing.

+1 on the write up. Since I have one of these, I'll be following the thread with interest.

Just curious, and not casting any aspersions about the gun or shooter, do you believe the flyers depicted in post # 5 to be the fault of the gun or shooter? In other words, were they sorta called flyers or the gun just sucked on those shots?

Very nice hoss, cant wait to get the polymer trigger as well.
Ive done the good ol polishing and changing the sear engagement with the ram as well. My best is a freon tank approx 140 yards last time we checked, 2/10 in each mag. Im going out this weekend to validate the exact yardage and maybe a vid. Gotta love the m&ps!
