Reloads in g-29 Conversion Barrel?

I have a new 10mm to .40 lonewolf conversion Barrel coming and I have heard the tolerances might to be to tight for reloads. The website stated that these barrels had some new features so I was hoping they have improved with reloads over time. Anyone know exactly when and if these barrels were modified/updated last? Do they handle reloads ok after some breaking in?

I reload 10MM. What you have to be concerned with is:

1. Normal Glock factory barrels are about .007 thousandth wider in the Chamber than an after market stainless barrel.

2. So the empty shell casings are bulged out from the Glock barrel.

3. If you reload that case, it will only feed about 1/2 way into the after market barrel and jams up.

4. The solution is to resize all your cases full length and test fit into a Dillon case gauge or the actual barrel (outside the slide in your hand)

You can get a full length die from MidwayUSA...about $28 bucks on sale.

I shoot my 10mm reloads both from my G29/G20 and my 1911's. My 1911's have tighter chambers (like an aftermarket barrel might). I use a Redding G-Rx pass through sizing die as a pre-step (after cleaning but before normal sizing as a part of the reloading process). The last time I took this guns out, I forgot the reloads I brought with me were pre-G-Rx sizing die and half would not chamber in my 1911's.

In addition to the above, many aftermarket barrels come with less free bore than a stock Glock barrel. It is ironic that guys buy aftermarket barrels to shoot lead, they come with less free bore and lead loads end up having feed problems not seen when using the stock Glock barrel. Usually an adjustment in seating depth will fix most of these issues.

Me too, works fine.

I also use 40 cases to reload my 10mm rounds when I am just plinking. I have noticed the accuracy is slightly degraded, like +1" at 25yds (for the life of me I cannot explain this phenomenon), but function is flawless.
