    Normal capacity mag blocking.

So I decide that I am leaving the Glock platform after 15 years, unfortunately I have a ton of 17/33 round magazines that were "grandfathered" in before the ban. My question is, do I need some sort of FFL to block these and sell them? Or do I just have to throw them away?

You should be able to block them and sell the 10 rounders without involving ffl. Not sure if I would want the hassle or potential liability/questions that may arise.
What about posting them for sale for out of state customer only?

Yea, I guess I could do that or... keep the Glocks. I doubt I will get much for them anyways and having maybe my Glock 19 or my Glock 17 as a backup is a good thing.

You can buy mag blocks at http://www.magazineblocks.com/magent...s-3/glock.html if you want to sell them in California. The 33rd mags are a bit ridiculous so I'd probably try to sell them out of state or just keep them and a glock. Why have you chosen to abandon the Glock platform though?

If it were me I'd keep the glock and mags .. or sell the glock and just keep the mags. They're more valuable (not in a monetary sense), since you can't buy them in California. Who knows, maybe you decide you want the capacity and go back to glocks.... better not to regret it

You might be right, and in a SHTF(not that I am a super prepper of any kind) situation I would rather have a Glock of somesort.

Why, if I may ask? I am just the "exit interview" kind of guy. I always find it interesting why people switch. Thanks in advance

I'd like to know too, seems that having a high cap glock would trump most other handguns just because of capacity.

I'm just replacing everything I own with the HK equilvalent. The other things like my CZ75 SP01 is easier to get rid of because I only have the 10 rd magazines that came with the gun. Also the Glock is the only gun where I own more than one a 19 Gen 3 and 17 Gen 2. The 19 is gone because I hated the grip the 17 I shoot really well and it was by far my favorite gun before I got into HKs. I ended up selling the Gen 2 but a few months later I deeply regretted it and now own a Gen 4.

I'm in the same situation. I sold all my Glocks and I have a bunch of standard capacity G19 and G17 round mags just lying around. I would like to sell them but don't want to go through the hassle of blocking them.

Speaking as an HK fanatic, I'd say keep the 33-rounders and one Glock. I have 8 HKs with one waiting for DROS. But like you, I also have some big Glock mags so my G19 will likely never leave. Even if you really decide to drop all your Glocks, it's still worth squirreling away the mags. Once they leave the state or become 10-rounders, you can never go back.

Is that the VP9 you have in DROs? You're going to love it, its such a sweet shooter. Its the first pistol that I can just pick up and shoot it like I can shoot one of my Glocks.
