Walther PPQ for last SSE

After going thru the many threads on the HK VP9 vs PPQ vs XYZ, it seems I need to pick up a PPQ.

I have an old SW99, Smith and Walther's collaboration P99 clone- it's great, fits well, easy to shoot and is super reliable.

It's time for an upgrade, wanted those who own or have handled them, to chime in on what version PPQ you vote for.

M1, M2, 4", 5"?

My PPQ is 100% on the range and shooting at 15 to 25 yard targets, so naturally I chose the 5 inch for the tiny bit of accuracy. Barrel length really depends on what you plan to do with the pistol. Can't go wrong with either.

Your thread really got me off the fence on getting one. Was thinking about the Sphinx but might pass now.

Only difference is how you prefer your mgf release.

I have 4 of the 4 inch m2's my favorite all around gun. If looking for a range use only my 5 inch (comes in m2 style only) shoots like a laser

I also have a couple of the older P99s and always enjoyed them. Always felt better in my hand than Glocks.
Got to the range yesterday and took my new PPQ to do the side by side test.
I've got thousands of rounds down range with P99s and was surprised how well I did with the PPQ right away.
I had read the trigger break was better but yikes.
Grip felt natural as well.

The M2 4in is what scratched my itch. I don't have a desire for a paddle release pistol.

I wouldn't mind having a PPQ M1 5" myself sadly they are hard to find compared to the M2 and I probably don't have the SSE available until the end of this year.

I'm picking up my 5" PPQ M2 today and can't wait! I've heard so many great things about these firearms. After fondling it in the store I was sold. The ergo's are fantastic and trigger is 1st class!

I believe there is no such thing as a 5 inch m1 (at least in the usa). Can always make your own (buy a 5 inch m2 and 4 inch m1) swap the slides

Bought a 4" M2 last month. Hope to jail a 5" next week (30 day wait).

I have the M2 version only because I still prefer the standard mag release where it is located on most guns. For muscle memory and personal safety reasons, I'm keeping this feature on all of my chosen defense pistols.

Stock up on PPQ M2 mags when you can find them!

You might be right, all of the pictures I've seen also had slide safeties something that is more prevalent in european firearms.

You don't need 4 M2s so you should sell me one

They are actually not that easy to find...
