Handgun Roster Question

Will be buying a G19 (OD) soon but wnated to know:
On the handgun roster, it says that The OD version of the G19 will be taken off the roster on 11/16/14......
Does this mean all new G19's regardless of Gen model?
I want to get a new G19 Gen 3....
does this apply to new G19's?

The Gen 4 is available at all good gun shops until the end of the year

the expiration date ONLY means that's when Glock has to renew the ranson fee, nothing else

They will probably renew, those off color have been discontinued and special batch for a few years now, and they continue to renew. No guarantee though.
They are difficult to find, the special batched that I have seen are usually with the normal capacity magazines.

+1, just get the Gen4 while you can if they are close in price.

You have 4 months left to buy a Gen 4 through SSE. Might as well take advantage and get the Gen 4. You won't regret it

Ive thought about both gen models and dont really see a difference:
Whats really the selling point for a Gen 4 over the Gen 3 (besides it being newer)?.

larger mag release, interchangeable backstraps, upgraded RSA..

The backstraps make a big difference on how comfortable the gun feels in your hand also. that alone sold me on the Gen 4

Gen 4 grip texture is different, frame is rumored to be stronger especially in the .40 SW. Resale value will be better.
