thoughts on Boberg pistol

Anyone own one and thoughts about it? Price is a little high for it though...

I do not own one, but there are some known issues. It does not work with some ammo (bullet separates from the casing when being pulled from the mag), but as long as you keep approved ammo handy, not an issue. I haven't seen anybody that does SSE on these, so that could be an issue as well.

I have never shot a Boberg

My opinion is that it is only worth it if you have the money and like to collect odd-ball and/or uniquely designed firearms. There seems to be too many reliability issues (according to people on youtube who bought one) to use it for self defense.

Right now I see it as a novelty. It isn't good for self defense, and it doesn't have good resale value, so there doesn't seem to be any need to buy one.

Boberg actually sells CA version, complete with the SSE barrel. They can ship it to CA FFL who will do the sale as SSE. But it has 4-6 weeks of wait, so hurry up if interested.

It is certainly a unique design, and in reality is a semi-custom gun (check the factory video). It needs quality ammo, but otherwise all the kinks seems to be removed. By far for its size it holds the longest barrel, shoots accurate and has very less recoil for its size.

Boberg would easily be my first choice for a CCW gun if there were any way I could justify the cost. Or if they dropped the price $300 or so.

It's 9mm, the .25 bbl is for SSE purposes.
