    Glock malfunction

Went to the range last night. Shot 200 rds total. 50 outta the beretta 92f and 150 outta the gen3 g17. 13 outta 15 magizines I ran the slide didn't wanna stay back on the last round. What's the deal? Newer firearm. Mabey 800-1000 rounds total. Internals are 100% factory.

You are probably riding the slide release. If not, mark those mags.

          Not possible.

Glocks are perfect in every way and will never have a single problem despite shooting 800,000 rounds over 20 years and not cleaning them.

          :-)

Will the slide catch work if you insert an empty mag and then manually work the slide?

          .

It's not suppose to stay back on the last round, it's suppose to on any empty mag

              Field strip
With one of the questionable empty mags, insert into the mag well (with the slide OFF), and see if the slide lock pushes up, compare the distance it pushes up, with the distance pushed up by one of the good mags

Are you saying you have 15 mags and 2 are not holding the slide back after the last round is fired? Or do you have only 2 mags? We need to know what magazine it is.

haha, I read it 15 mags too, but reading again, appears was meant as possibly, a couple mags, that were reloaded 7 times each, or 3 mags, reloaded 5 times each, and in the end, 13 out of the 15 mag inserts, did not function properly

it actually could have been a seating issue as well

OP, make sure you slam the mag home, on any event that it does not lock the slide back, see if you can pull the mag out, without using the mag release

at times, my 27, will not seat with a full mag, you have to really slam it hard to make it seat, and if it does not seat, it will do exactly like you experienced
also, try loading only 9 rounds in the mag, see if you get the same issue, i'm thinking you wont, because the mag will seat properly with 9

I have 5 mags total. They All worked fine in my buddy's g17. His mags did not work in mine tho. the same thing in my g17 happend with both mine and his mags but they all work fine in his g17. It's not staying back on a empty mag. Yes it will stay back with putting a empty mag in and pulling the slide back. So guess I'm just riding the release?

Yes sounds like you are riding the slide release, it's common with Glocks.

Your G17 probably has the extended slide lock and your friend's G17 has the stocked one.

trade, have your friend shoot yours, you shoot his
                          see if same results
or if problem follows the gun or the shooter
