    Pap M92 Muzzle Parts Question?

Picking up my Pap M92 pretty soon and have been looking at putting a muzzle brake on.

I've decided with using the AMD-65 muzzle brake on my M92.

I understand the part about removing the thread protector (Thank you youtube) and that the Pap has a 26 x 1.5 threading and most Ak threads are 14x1.

First solution is to get this:
Thread size: M26x1.5 LH - M14x1 LH. Overall Length: 1.700 inches. Length of body: 1.160 inches. This adapter is intended to adapt M26x1.5 LH muzzles with M14x1 LH muzzle devices. Made from top quality US steel and finished in black oxide.

And I need to hold the thread adapter in place, so second solution:
Pin fits in front to retain muzzle devices in position. High quality steel pin, black oxide finish, backed by CNC Warrior’s 100% quality guarantee. Spring and retaining pin included. Length: 1 3/8 inches. Mfg by CNC Warrior LLC

And for the last part, I'll be going with this:

Am I missing anything with what I plan to do? Will the muzzle brake line up and direct the gasses to the right direction (to the sides)? OR do I need something to remedy that?

Any help clearing this up would be great, thanks.

MODS: Could you move this to the Centerfire section?

I have one of these and was considering the same process. Since these are pistols, my understanding is that the new muzzle device needs to be permanently affixed, which means pinned/welded. Is this your understanding as well and how are you planning to handle this?

          This is incorrect.
Since the pap has a fixed 10 round magazine, outside the pistol grip, a threaded muzzle is legal.

I found a post about this from 2009.

detachable magazine and any one of the following:

            (A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
            (B) A second handgrip.
            (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the
barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or
her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
            (D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location
            outside of the pistol grip.

            (5) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
So because this ak pistol has a fixed magazine (by the bullet button), we can have a threaded barrel? And be able to install a new muzzle brake?

Also, does the barrel need to be kept under a certain length? I noticed that the new muzzle brake is 3" long, so I'm wondering if I will go over into 16" territory, if that matters.

And I guess the barrel itself isn't threaded, but rather the FSB.

check out the manticore knightbrake or the 4pc brake - both are threaded appropriately for the m92 and won't need an adaptor

I've been looking at a few that were threaded for the M92, but having been leaning towards the AMD-65 for that "loud factor."

Alot of people would see it as unnecessary, but I bought this gun for that "wow" factor. I would've liked to get a SW500 as a fun range toy, but the M92 was a much cheaper price point (and ammo is cheap too). To spice things up a little, I wanted to make it even more uncessary, with a louder muzzle on it.

If anyone has any experience with a loud muzzle brake, feel free to post. I'm considering all options at the moment.

                      Yeah,
                      Don't do that ...

The rest of us at the range will not like you much.

And your ears will hurt too.
