      Glocks come in Green????

The plastic sights are weak. Rack the slide with a holster and they can move or come off the gun.

Any steel sight will work. Trijicons are better to me than meps.

After having night sights for years, I now prefer steel.

I have not found the niche where night sights are youth the extra $50-$70
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

It's pretty similar. But as you've experienced with your watches. The "torch" effect goes away fairly quick. But does make the transition from bright to dark much easier.

I just took a peak at them in my safe, going on about 15-20 mins from when I charged them and took the picture and they are still glowing much brighter than the tritium. It should be of similar brightness to the tritium for in about an hour or so.

I know what you mean. I can't think of any negatives to a good set of night sights other than the added expense though. To this day I have never needed them but you know what they say.

night sights... better to have them then not have them I guess.

I consider it cheap insurance, just in case...

I do wish Glock do away with plastic sights altogether and go fixed steel sights as standard, which they already stock...

I dont think those sights were meant for that gun. You say thats a g20. The rear sights on that look like they are intended for a glock with a smaller slide. Just sayin.

Nice gun. I have been eyeballing that exact one for awhile now.

For a quick fix for the sight -- Use a wooden mallet and a small punch (preferably nylon punch), and just gently tap it back to your liking.

You are probably already gone shooting, but if not, just put the slide in a vise. Protect it with some flat aluminum stock, a couple of pieces of a paint stirring stick, old leather belt, etc.

Use a small punch and put a few layers of masking tape on the tip to protect the sight. Just tap steadily until it is centered.

I bought an expensive sight pusher a long time ago and it is such a pain to use, I still use the above procedure for all my sight swaps, centering, etc.

                      Good luck.

PS - FWIW, I prefer TFO's on all my Glocks.

                        That's pretty ironic actually.

Which site pusher did you get? I use brand specific pushers made by MGW for Glock and M&P and I can't imagine doing it any other way. I don't have to setup any slide adapters in a universal pusher. Just put it in and turn handle.

I saw the same thing with my full FDE G26. I think it has to do with the fact that Lipsey's is having those slides FDE'ed after they get them from GLock so they have the slides disasembled, coated, and then put back together. they aren't sighting in the guns after they tap the sights back onto the gun.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Glock didn't sight them in either.

Plastic sights are very easy to move.

one thing many people don't know is that none of the GLocks come from Austria with fixed sights on them. they are all shpped here with adjustable sights and that Glock USA removes them and installs the fixed rear sight. Yah, I doubt Glock USA is sighting in all those guns, just centering up the rear sight as much as possible and calling it done.

With the target models (G34, G17L, etc) those they do keep the original adjustable target sights and even those, I've seen the windage on those all over the place, with the sight adjusted hard over to the left or right.

I've always changed out my Glock sights right off the bat but interesting nonetheless.
