What Gen 4 Glock should I get next?

I already have a G19 G3 and G23 G3. I am planning on selling both and have already paid for a G19 G4 but can't DROS it for 30 days. I had my eye on a G17 G4, but now I am debating getting a G22 (G4) so I can buy a G17 slide so I can run either 9 or 40. But now I am wondering what the magic frame is that can use 9, 40 or higher. The G41 is another want, but do I need it?

Does anyone have a break down on what slides fit which frames?

      I guess I meant G22 G4 so I can put a 17 slide on it. I don't know if a 17 slide will fit a 19/23. I updated my first post with the G22.

Well if since gen 3 still available get something that requires SSE like VP9 HK and get a gen 3 glock 23 if you shoot .40 and if you like 9mm get conversion barrel but buy something other then glock since you can get an SSE right now

+1 if you can find one before the year is out. If anyone has a source for them I'd be interested.

I saw a G41 at the Gun Range off Watt the other day. I think they're priced at $699 there. Call them to confirm.

Hrrmm. Little high priced, I wonder if they charge SSE fees on top of that. Thanks for the info though. I may just get one from gun broker and have it xferred.

$700 is the cheapest I've found for a G41 at LGS's. That's how much I got mine for at SBR in Rocklin. Came out to $777 OTD

I can get them locally for $645+tax+dros but they're out of stock. I'm not mentioning the name of the place because it sounds like I'm plugging them.. which I am not trying to.

I thought you could only go down in caliber and not up. Something about the 22/23 frame being stronger than a 17/19. I got my original 19 first, then a few months later wanted .40 and got the 23. I read that the 19 frame ( gen 3 with 3 pin) could not run the .40 slide or I would have just bought a 23 slide. If I can run a 22 slide on a 17 frame, I think that is the answer to my question. What is the highest caliber I can use on a 17 frame?

Get at 23. You can buy conversion barrels and essentially have 3 guns. 40S&W, 357 Sig & 9MM.

Good price for a G41. That would be lowest price I've heard of for a G41 at a LGS in the Sac Area.

So between the calibers the slides
Are interchangeable? Is that only for the gen 4s or also the gen 3s? Does it go both ways from 9-> 40 or is it only 40->9?
