Input on thoughts for CCW 1911 Officers Model

I love these little 1911 hand blasters.

I bought a Colt Lightweight Officer earlier this year from a colleague. Smaller and lighter than the OPs and probably not as pleasant to shoot on the range.




This thread reminded me I still need to get the rear sight on mine adjusted, it is slightly too much to the right.

What about a small of the back holster until you get down to a weight where you can go iwb at a better carry position?

SOBs are kind of dangerous. One slip and you land spine first on that pistol.

You might try a Blackdog Concealment OWB. I don't EDC but I'm a bit fluffy and I've successfully (legally) concealed a full sized M&P. But realistically it might be time to save up for a smaller handgun.

In my heavier days I found that I could easily conceal a CCO sized pistol in a low riding IWB holster with a lot of cant at 4 o'clock, something like the TT-Gunleather Mike's Special. The low ride got it under the worst of my love handles, and a 15-20 degree cant helped hide the grip.

Nice, but i already own the one in the first pic. Its been dead reliable, i just need to figure out how to carry it.

Id never wear a nylon rig for ccw. I want leather.

I carry 90% of the time IWB and always with my three carry 1911s. Simple cow hide De Santis or MR. I wouldn't over think it, even with a few extra pounds it will most likely be your best option.
