    CZ SP-01 part ID?

Okay can anyone verify if this came from my CZ SP-01? I was taking the pistol apart to polish some parts, then found this part on the floor next to me. Didn't see or hear anything to make me think this flew off the pistol. I looked up a diagram but didn't see anything that looks like it. It's not the safety detent either, that's still there.

I can't recognize that piece on anything from my SP-01.

That is the saftey detent plunger that sits on the left side (looking from the rear) of the frame in a cut out next to the safety and rail the slide mates with. It also has a small spring that goes along with that to keep tension against it to press against to retain the safety so try to find it.

No, that's what I thought, but mine is still there. I really don't even know if this piece is from my gun. Just trying to confirm. Pistol functions fine with snap caps.

I do recognize it to be the detent on the right side that doesn't have a spring.

That part is on the right side... It's purpose is only to retain the 'right side' safety lever to the frame. It doesn't operate like a detent.. You'll need to take it apart.... Put the right side safety lever into the frame, then install 'that' part into the frame cut that it fits into (to the rear). It only works one way so you cant mess it up. Then drop the sear cage back in to hold it in place.

Yep. It's off the right side, not the left. No spring.

Interestingly, the SA that I have has a detent on the right that looks exactly like the one on the left, both with springs (mirrored obviously). Not sure why they did two different cage and safety and detent configurations. Seems cheaper to do a single type.
