    thoughts on hk p2000sk??

i went to the range yesterday to try out the g26. i wanna get subcompact. anyways i ended up also trying out the p2000. not the sk though.
between the two i shot the hell out of the hk. im no pro shooter. infact i hadnt been to the range in 10 months. but i was able to hit dead center on the targets 14 times out of 3 mags of 10 rd. so 14 for 30. out about 6-7 yards.
im sure for most thats nothing, but like i said, for me that was impressive.

on the other hand, with the g26, i didnt get in the red once. my thinking is the p2000 was slightly bigger and i had a better grip on it which im sure made a big difference for me. so i was wondering if anyone here as experience with the sk. from what ive read its just as accurate. maybe the g26 with extension might do the trick.

also if its worth damn near double the price. im sure with some more time with the g26 i could get that accuracy. but i wanna hear others experience.

The HK P2000 has a better single action trigger, dry fire both while trying to keep your sights centered on target you will see that it is much more difficult to keep the Glock in line due to its heavy break. One of the reason I tend to prefer DA/SA.

I put a few boxes of ammo through it with my friends and I really liked it. My woman has the G26 though, and I'm pretty pleased with that one as well. Between the two, I'd choose the SK, but it also has that paddle mag release. I understand why they did it, but it is different from all other ones that I own which means I have to think about it for a second when dropping the first mag, which means I'd either have to practice with it more or not carry it.

Great gun but unless your collecting it then don't get it, i would get a p30 or vp9. the p2000 is a great gun but the triggers are not as good as these others.

I personally like the P2000 more than the SK. It really isn't that much smaller with the only benefit in that all the SK's come with night sights. Other than that, I find the P2000 just fits more comfortably in my hands.

I have a P2000sk and the best magazine option I've tried is the x-grip / usp compact magazine (sadly in 10 round) since it's easiest on the hand grip wise.

But there are easily cheaper solutions especially since the SSE is still available that fit the general format (3", 10 round of 9mm, etc) such as any of the Springfield XD's which will leave you enough money left over for another gun.

I own an HK P2000 / 40 S&W. Great pistol. The only part i changed were the magazine base plates, switch out to the flat ones from the USP mags.

Love, the ambi mag release and slide release.

I think the stock trigger is great.

              Its easy to clean.

              I like the de-cocker position. (i am a lefty)

I got a 357 sig barrel for it as well. Works great. (Muzzle flash is a bit much)

The only difference on the SK is a shorter grip (witch can be extended with an X Grip for target shooting if you even need it) and a slightly shorter barrel.

If i had not gotten hooked into CZ's i would had picked up an SK/9mm, might still do it down the road.

one of the reasons I bought mine. I just shot it out at Hodge road last week before heading to Vegas. I like it. fits great in my hand and zero issues with the trigger. I'm not finicky with triggers at all.

+1. There are enough good pistols on the market that I think this one wouldn't be on my list of must haves.

I have both the P2000 and P2000sk; of the two, I prefer the P2000 although the difference isn't great. Inside 15 yards the P2000sk is just as accurate as it's bigger brother, it's only at longer ranges that there's much difference. Personally I don't find a lot of difference in concealment ability between the two.

I do think the P2000sk has a big edge over a G26, I'm able to get two and a half fingers on the P2000sk and only two on a G26, and that makes a big difference especially with wet or sweaty hands. If I had to carry a Glock it would be the G19 over the G26 every time, no contest.

I've come to prefer the HK style mag release, using the index or middle finger it's actually faster after a little practice, and it's full ambidextrous.

The HK trigger is a little harder to learn, and it might not be my first choice for a target pistol. However for carry I prefer the HK LEM trigger because of the ability to ride the hammer when re-holstering.
