Usual fees for having a pistol shipped?

I've never shipped nor have had a gun shipped to me before. I will be in need of this service shortly.

If I am having an on-roster handgun shipped to me from within California, what do ffl's usually charge in fees to receive the firearm?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Fees varies between FFL dealers. Average is $75 + Taxes.

Alot of shop's websites advertise "$75 out of state transfers" so I assumed in state transfers would be less.
I was wrong. They all charge $75 dealer transfer plus the $25 state fee plus tax even if it's used and even if it's sent from within California. What a rip off!

for the receiving FFL there isn't any difference if it comes from in or out of state (they process it the same)... I'm pretty sure the reason behind the fee is to encourage you to buy from them... if not, they still need to make money on the deal.

Gun buying in CA is expensive and time consuming in general (as compared to many other states)... but "the weather is nice"
