I have an SR9c that is running like a champ with over a thousand rounds in. I had some FTFs in the 1-200 round range - it felt like the slide was hanging up and not going fully into battery. It happened all the time with one mag and a few times with others. Once I got over 200 rounds, it hasn't happened since, even with the 'problem mag'.

Works with all the ammo I've put through it, mainly low end 115 gr Wolf, UMC, and Walmart Whitebox along with some 124 and 147 gr JHPs. I like the grip of my PPQ way better, but for some reason, the SR9c feels like it shoots easier with less recoil. I chalk it up to familiarity and not being used to the higher bore axis of the PPQ.

    Hope this helps.

I LOVE my SR9. It's my goto home defense handgun. Like you, I love the slim grip design.

Most shooters will complain about the safety but I don't mind it.

Never have had any failures and eats all the reloads I put through it. No issues with the barrel.

A lot of people don't know that you can get trigger upgrades for the SR9. Ghost makes some great upgrades. I have the 4 pound connector and makes it a great shooter... http://www.ghostinc.com/

I've had my SR9 since Dec. 2008 and with close to 10k through it I've only had a few ftfs at the beginning. My barrel did have a little peening after a few thousand but I just filed it down and kept shooting and it has not happened since. I did have a SR9c I sold it to get a SA EMP and wish I never had. I will be getting another someday.

Although I didn't sell my SR9c to get my EMP, pretty much everything else applies, word for word, amazing really.

i believe there's a safety feature in which u cant fire w/o a mag inside the gun. is this current in the newer models? i think this is a bad design. if u need to shoot in the middle of reloading, then u'd be in serious trouble.

If you feel strongly enough about it, you can remove the mag disconnect, very simple procedure.

I have both SR9 and SR9c. 1500 and 800 rounds respectively. I Love them both. Very comfortable and accurate.

Have both as well. Carry SR9c(which is actually getting to feel a bit big), have SR9 for fun. I just love the ergos of the SR series. Zero issues with the C, 1 FTF with the SR9, but big deal.
