Apex Shield Carry Trigger kit

What and where is the best price you guys are seeing online for this? $92 seems a bit high to me, for a few tiny parts, but everyone seems to say it's worth it.

More Audible/Tactile reset (compared to stock) is what I'm really after.

I just today got this one from Amazon Apex Tactical S&W Shield Trigger Kit and Replacement Trigger for 9mm and 40 S&W and will be installing it tomorrow. A bit pricey, I know, but having had a chance to try it and fire about 100 rounds, To me, it's worth getting it.

I will also be replacing the sights with a set of Big Dots.

It is a fantastic kit. Not necessaru but fantastic. 100 bucks isn't much for what you get. The kit is worth it (though my currwnt shields do not have it as I don't think it is needed)

I got mine for $80 shipped. Since you have to remove the rear sight to install, I also put on some ameriglo night sights.

What weight does the trigger break end up being with the kit?

I've seen it for as low as $80 shipped, but I chose to invest in the Shield Kit complete with aluminum Action Enhancement trigger for $135. I'm getting a clean 5-1/2lb break and really like the trigger now. But be aware that you may want a Shield specific sight pusher to remove and replace the rear sight because the slide walls are so thin that they can crack if stressed.

I went with Truglo TFO night sights.

Edit: Note: I've only done business with USATAC twice but so far so good.

They are different. I just did the DCAEK + aluminum trigger and I love it. Perfectly fine for carry. After I spend some time with the Shield as is, I'll do the same to it.

My understanding is that the only difference is the diameter of the trigger slave pin. For sure the sear and USB are the same. The trigger return and sear springs I *think* are also the same.

Probably many parts are the same if you were going individual parts route, but there are separate kits for each if buying a complete action enhancement which is what it sounds like here.

Be sure to get the kit with the replacement trigger included. I hated the plastic factory trigger but only did the parts kit at first. Ended up buying the trigger later and wish I had gotten it to begin with.
